The Costa Blanca town of Calpe is set to welcome a new cultural showcase this June with the arrival of “Alborada”, a dance performance presented by the Solera Artística group at the Casa de la Cultura Jaume Pastor i Fluixà.

An event to add to Calpe’s cultural programme

Taking place on Saturday, June 6 at 8:00pm, the event will be held in the town’s main cultural venue and will offer audiences a free-entry performance until capacity is reached. The production forms part of Calpe’s wider cultural programming, which regularly includes theatre, exhibitions, concerts, and dance performances throughout the year at the Casa de la Cultura, one of the municipality’s key artistic spaces.

What is Solera Artística? A local group known for excellent performance work

Solera Artística is known locally for its work in performing arts and stage-based productions, often incorporating expressive choreography and visually driven narratives. Its thematic performances are often centred on renewal, tradition, or symbolic storytelling. The group also took part in a spectacular and successful performance last summer, with the inauguration of their “Rememorando” show, and this event is expected to be even more technically excellent and entertaining.

The Casa de la Cultura Jaume Pastor i Fluixà, inaugurated in 1999, has become a central hub for Calpe’s cultural life, hosting hundreds of events annually ranging from dance and theatre to conferences and exhibitions. Its auditorium regularly serves as a platform for both professional and amateur artistic groups from across the region.

A performance to attract audiences from Calpe and beyond

The Alborada performance is expected to attract local residents and visitors looking for a relaxed evening of cultural entertainment in an intimate theatre setting. With free admission and limited seating, organisers recommend early arrival for those interested in experiencing this incredible cultural and musical performance.

As Calpe continues its busy spring and early summer cultural season, events such as this highlight the town’s commitment to accessible arts programming and support for regional creative groups like Solera Artística.
