Joanne McCafferty shared devastating news about her husband Martin Joseph in an emotional message full of love and sorrow. Martin Joseph passed away peacefully early morning, May 31, at Costa Del Sol Hospital.

He had fought bravely against a sudden short intense infection with complications in both lungs even though he never smoked. Shock ripples through the community because he performed only a couple of weeks before.

This unexpected loss touches everyone who knew his warm presence on the Costa Del Sol where he entertained for many years.

Martin Joseph brought timeless charm to audiences across Europe

Martin Joseph built a wonderful career over more than twenty years delighting crowds with Frank Sinatra and Rat Pack classics that touched so many hearts. He portrayed Sinatra in the award winning Rat Pack Kings of Swing show.

Tours of Spain featured him starring in My Way El Musical La Vida de Frank Sinatra with a seventeen piece orchestra. Solo sets and work in The Frank And Dean Show carried his music to corporate events theatres private functions in Europe the UK and occasionally the United States.

Regular appearances at Marbella Club won him loyal fans for weddings and elegant gatherings. Clients often recalled his reliable professionalism and voice that filled rooms with romance and class creating unforgettable nights full of warmth and joy.

Colleagues and friends offer heartfelt tributes

Thorbjörn Lindstedt said “We still had the dream of doing new concerts in Sweden. But unfortunately that did not happen. Thank you Martin for all the great memories.”

Peet Rothwell credits Martin for perhaps helping him return to the stage after serious illness. “You were a fine wine Martin Joseph and you were my friend.”

Tibbi Aquila called Martin a true gentleman “a wonderful friend and one of the finest entertainers on the coast. We are absolutely shocked and devastated by this heartbreaking news.”

Alan Mansell says “He was an absolute legend on and off the stage.”

“It is with complete devastation and heartbreak that I tell you Martin Joseph, my darling husband, my love, best friend and a much loved father to our daughter passed away peacefully early this morning in the Costa Del Sol Hospital. He bravely fought with the doctors a sudden, short, intense infection with complications in both lungs, he has never smoked. I know so many of you will be so sad to hear this news. He was still singing a couple of weeks ago. It is unbelievable. Family and friends please PM me if you would like news of when the funeral will be, when we know. My daughter and I appreciate your support and kindness and would like some peace to mourn our huge loss. Thank you xxxx”
