Explore global flavours without leaving Garrucha at La Cantina de Floor

After first being introduced to La Cantina de Floor during April’s Garrucha Tapas Route, I have been desperate to return.

Established in 2009, La Cantina de Floor has been serving the people of Garrucha for close to two decades, and they’re showing no signs of stopping anytime soon.

A warm welcome in Garrucha

With a large indoor dining area and a beautiful outdoor terrace, there’s no bad seat in the place. As long as you have a table, you’re guaranteed a great meal and dining experience.

One of the restaurant’s greatest strengths is its welcoming atmosphere. Regular customers are greeted like old friends, while first-time visitors are made to feel instantly at home.

The Plato Indonesio is a must-try dish

La Cantina de Floor offer a mix of cuisine. Some popular favourites include the Thai Soup, the Mexican Wrap, and Shoarma with Chips, all packed with flavour and presented beautifully. But the real star of the show is the Plato Indonesio.

Enjoy rice or noodles topped with a fried egg that’s crisp around the edges and perfectly runny in the middle, with chicken skewers lathered in a delicious sauté sauce, all for the low price of €11.50.

The dish is spicy so those with a sensitive palate beware, but it’s a spice that adds flavour rather than heat for the sake of it. Everything La Cantina de Floor serves looks, sells and tastes delicious, but before diving into the menu you have to give the Plato Indonesio a try.

If that doesn’t fill you up, there’s plenty of desert options to choose from. The dessert menu provides the perfect ending to a satisfying meal, whether you’re looking for something rich and indulgent or simply a sweet treat to enjoy with a coffee.

Go with a traditional pudding like apple pie, cheese cake or brownie, or treat yourself to a french style crepe overflowing with toppings of your choosing.
