Benalmadena Town Hall has confirmed the official schedule for its well-loved annual Feria de Dia. Running from June 24 to 29, this wonderful community festival will fill Plaza Adolfo Suarez with live entertainment, traditional foods, and local culture. Organised by the Day Fair Merchants Association, the six-day celebration is part of Spain’s San Juan festivities.
Six days of non-stop live music and schedules
Opening day celebrations beginning on Wednesday, June 24 feature performances by Trenzao and Kalima. Festivities on this first day end early at 6pm to allow residents to attend the traditional Mass and procession in honour of San Juan Bautista. From Thursday June 25 onwards, the daily schedule shifts to its standard operating hours, welcoming visitors from 1pm until 7pm.
The daily live music line-up features top tier performances by Alborea and Kalima on the 25th, Esencia and Kalima on the 26, Alborea and Trenzao on the 27, Trenzao and Repicando on the 28, and El Callejon alongside Kalima to close the event on June 29.
Family attractions and community initiatives
Families can enjoy dedicated children’s entertainment. Closing day on Monday, June 29 transforms the main evening fairground into a fun filled special children’s day, offering popular rides and attractions at heavily discounted prices. Younger visitors can also enjoy face painting and street entertainment nearby, with the close proximity to Paloma Park providing plenty of open space for families to unwind.
Local businesses will provide visitors with regional food and refreshments. The ACEB business association is planning to operate its highly popular “El Cao” marquee throughout the entire week.
Apprende, a local group supporting children with neurodevelopmental conditions, has been given a free stall this year. This council initiative ensures a different town charity receives maximum visibility during local celebrations every summer.
