To celebrate the release of Toy Story 5, Porsche recently revealed three custom 911 models inspired by the franchises leading characters: Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie, their iconic features reinterpreted, some more subtly than others.

Developed through Porsche’s exclusive Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) programme, each one-off model has been individually hand-finished, allowing the design team to transform the beloved Pixar characters into road-going works of art while preserving the unmistakable identity of the 911. The collaboration brings together storytelling, craftsmanship and automotive design in a unique way.

Buzz Lightyear’s GT3 RS steals the spotlight

By far the stand out of the collection is the Buzz Lightyear 911 GT3 RS, which is designed with the space rangers’ signature white, green and purple suit in mind. It is even equipped with a prominent rear wing meant to resemble the toy’s pop out wings.

The exterior also features subtle references to Buzz’s space mission, while the interior continues the theme with bespoke detailing inspired by the character. The result is a bold interpretation that still feels unmistakably Porsche, balancing playful design with the GT3 RS’s track-focused performance.

Woody and Jessie inspire intricate interior details

Just as much detail has been has been incorporated into the interior design. While the Woody 2026 911 Carrera T has a more subdued dark sea blue exterior, the inside is complete with warm brown leather, cow print accents and subtle hints of the cowboy’s checked shirt.

Jessie’s personality has also been translated into a bespoke 911, with colourful design cues and carefully selected materials inspired by her western-inspired outfit. Rather than creating cartoon replicas, Porsche’s designers focused on interpreting each character through colours, textures and finishes that remain true to the brand’s premium aesthetic.

All three cars also have iconic catchphrases like “To Infinity and Beyond” and “Ride Like the Wind” etched into the floor mats, another nod to the characters.

One-off Porsche 911s sold for charity

The cars made their debut at the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles last month. More than an advertising stunt, the cars formed part of a broader charitable initiative supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross and Starlight Children’s Foundation.

The three-car collection has since been sold for €2.6 million to an anonymous owner, with every penny from the sale benefiting the three US charities. The project follows Porsche’s previous successful collaborations with Pixar, once again demonstrating how bespoke automotive design can help raise significant funds for good causes while celebrating one of cinema’s most recognisable animated franchises.
