Spanish government approval of regional incentives worth €6.9 million will lead to a total investment of €32.5 million across two huge hotel projects in Granada province and create 99 new jobs. Local firms in Almuñecar and Motril are set to benefit from the funding, which targets productive investment that generates employment and meets advanced technology plus environmental standards.

Big cash injection for Almuñecar’s new hotel

Fuerte La Herradura s.l. will receive a total of €6 million towards building the hotel Daia in Almuñecar. That support helps drive a €26.2 million project and opens up 90 jobs in the town. Earlier planning work on the scheme, including the building permit signed earlier this year, already pointed to strong local employment opportunities once construction gets fully under way.

Motril project brings more jobs

Falstacen s.l. has just received €872,000 for work on the hotel impressive Playa Granada Golf in Motril. The linked investment reaches €6.2 million and will bring nine new jobs. Ongoing changes around Playa Granada, including Marina and coastal path plans, sit alongside this upgrade and could multiply the economic knock-on effects for the area.

Regional growth and balanced development

The local government in Granada Province, described the package as important backing for productive investment in the province. He said the incentives support projects that create jobs, use advanced technology and stay environmentally sound, helping strengthen economic activity in places such as Almuñecar and Motril so growth becomes more even and sustainable across Granada. Nationally the same round covers 97 projects with €281.2 million in grants, unlocking more than €1 billion of investment and 2,743 new jobs overall.

These two grand Costa Tropical schemes form part of a wider push to spread investment beyond the usual centres. Construction and ongoing operations should feed demand for local suppliers, services and training while the new and upgraded hotels draw higher-spending visitors.

Official details on how regional incentives work sit on the Junta de Andalucia site and the Spanish finance ministry portal. Together the grants give the coast a clear economic lift through direct jobs and the wider spending they unlock.
