Animal lovers and creative minds in the Alicante area have a unique opportunity to combine art with charity this summer. The local animal rescue organisation, Las Reinas del Biberón, is hosting a fundraising art workshop at their centre, La Casa de las Reinas in El Campello, on Saturday, August 22. A welcoming space for families, friends, and curious visitors, the event will offer a creative morning where participants can design custom items while directly supporting vulnerable animals at the shelter.

A creative morning for a meaningful cause: hands-on crafts and custom designs for all skill levels

Running from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, the short but fun workshop will require no prior artistic experience. Attendees can choose from four distinct hands-on projects to craft their own personalised souvenir, including ceramic painting, mug decoration, fabric backpack painting, and custom tote bag design. Priced at €20 per person, the ticket covers all necessary art supplies and guidance, along with refreshments and light snacks. Every attendee will be able to take home their finished artwork at the end of the two-hour session, as a keepsake to remember the fun day and the charitable heart of the event.

Raising vital funds for veterinary care and shelter expenses

The event will also work to raise crucial funds for the non profit organisation. Las Reinas del Biberón focuses on rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming efforts for abandoned and neglected animals, with a particular focus on young and orphaned puppies requiring intensive care. All proceeds generated from ticket sales will be directed toward veterinary bills, essential medications, and everyday feeding expenses for the animals currently under the shelter’s care. Rising veterinary and operational costs have put increased pressure on rescue shelters across the region, making community-led fundraising initiatives more vital than ever.

Event details and how to secure your spot

Capacity for the event will be limited, so organisers encourage early booking to secure a spot for what promises to be a memorable, community-focused gathering. The workshop will take place on Saturday, August 22 from 12:00 to 2:00pm at La Casa de las Reinas, located on Calle Fra Juan Tensa in El Campello. Bookings and further details regarding ticket purchases can be accessed directly through the official Las Reinas del Biberón website.
