ACE-SHIN Autumn Charity lunch awaits, with great food, raffle prizes and the vocals of Harvey James

Rescue dogs across the Costa del Sol are waiting for a second chance, and this wonderful annual event could make that day come even quicker.

Annual lunch in a beautiful venue

Restaurante El Jinete, will once again be the host for the Autumn Charity Lunch in support of ACE-SHIN, Animal Care España, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 2pm. Guests who book a ticket to join can enjoy good food and good company for a worthwhile cause.

Tickets cost €50 each, this includes a welcome drink on arrival, a month-watering full three-course lunchtime menu with vegetarian options, plus two drinks per person during the meal. Bread and water come included too, and most importantly, a €10 donation from the ticket goes directly to ACE.

What can you expect to feast on at the lunch

Diners can expect a proper Spanish-meets-international spread. Starters range from warm goat’s cheese salad with caramelised onion and seasonal fruit to foie mousse with Cumberland sauce, prawns pil pil, and an Argentinian meat pie served with grilled chorizo. Main courses include pork ribs in bourbon barbecue sauce, an Italian-style chicken schnitzel, pan-fried calf’s liver, a 200-gram chargrilled entrecote, and oven-baked fillet of hake for those after something lighter. Spinach and ricotta torteloni and a pistachio-topped bauletti round out the vegetarian choices. Puddings stretch from classic apple pie with vanilla ice cream to a banana and rum trifle finished with dulce de leche.

Music for your ears and prizes in your pockets

Local favourite and incredible live vocalist Harvey James will provide the entertainment throughout the event. A grand charity raffle with what organisers promise are “great prizes” will run during the lunch, giving guests another chance to boost the total raised for ACE-SHIN’s rescue work.

Supporting a cause close to many hearts

ACE-SHIN cares for hundreds of abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats across its shelters, rehoming animals with families across Spain and further afield. Every ticket sold helps fund veterinary care, food and shelter for animals waiting for a forever home.
