Nerja International Club throws open its doors again on September 5

Friends old and new can look forward to a packed calendar once Club Internacional de Nerja swings back into action.

Doors reopen at 11am on Saturday 5 September at the friendly spot on Calle San Juan 42. Organisers promise plenty of events and day trips for the coming season, keeping the place buzzing with activity after the summer break. It is the perfect place, especially for expats, to meet like-minded people and a place to share know-how, advice and just a good time.

New faces more than welcome

Anyone curious about joining can simply drop in during opening hours. No fuss, no formality needed at first. Regulars already know the drill: games nights with darts, petanca when the weather cools, craft sessions; and those popular coach trips around Andalusia. Past outings have taken members to Cordoba, Velez-Malaga and further afield, always with good company and a laugh along the way.

How existing members can stay in the loop

Current members should join the private Facebook group. Pop over to the main page at facebook.com/CIDNERJA, use your membership number, and answer a couple of quick questions. That way you will not miss any of the bookings or special nights. Cash is still preferred for trip deposits, so have a few euros ready when you call in.

Community spirit that keeps giving

This club has long supported local good causes. Last winter members raised €850 for Taller de la Amistad, which helps people with disabilities across the Axarquia.
