Who can resist free cheesecake? Portions and different styles of the creamy and crunchy dessert have become the latest fashion in street food, with plenty of people hunting for the perfect recipe.

Champions Burger in Mijas this year even has a whole section dedicated to specialist cheesecake recipes, proving just how much this treat has taken over.

Cheesecake is the dessert of the moment, and everyone wants a slice. Now Malaga-based specialist La Cheesequería is bringing its artisan version to Marbella, opening a brand new shop on Thursday, August 27, at Avenida de Nabeul 3. To mark the arrival, the team will be handing out 1,000 individual cheesecakes free of charge from 7pm until stocks run out.

Hungry visitors can pop in, check out the new space and sample some of the most delicious flavours on the menu during the opening celebration. Everything is made in the company’s own bakery, mixing traditional recipes with more inventive options created from carefully chosen ingredients.

This latest shop builds upon La Cheesequería’s ever more popular presence across Malaga province, where the brand has been steadily adding locations and introducing its focused cheesecake concept to more customers. Existing spots already operate only in Malaga city, Fuengirola and Granada.

Full details for the free giveaway

The special opening is on Thursday, August 27, at 7pm, at the new store on Avenida de Nabeul 3, Marbella. For those passing by that evening, the special offer is one of 1,000 free individual cheesecakes while they last.

Queues are almost guaranteed, so arriving early makes sense if you want one of the free portions. Once the giveaway ends, the shop will continue serving its full range of classic and creative cheesecakes for takeaway or to enjoy on the spot.

With cheesecake fever still running high along the Costa del Sol, this free launch offers the ideal chance to try a local favourite without spending a euro.
