Fashion and George Michael tribute support cancer charity in Orihuela Costa

Fashion, music and fundraising come together at the Gossip Bar in the Rioja Centre on Friday, September 4, for an afternoon supporting local cancer charity Maria and the Pink Ladies.

The event gets underway at 4:00 PM, with Cinderella’s Closet presenting a fashion show and pop-up shop at the Gossip Bar.

Visitors will have the chance to browse the clothes on offer while enjoying an afternoon that combines shopping and entertainment with fundraising for a well-known Costa Blanca charity.

The fashion element will be followed by live entertainment from a George Michael tribute act, adding music to the programme as the event continues.

A raffle and charity merchandise will also help raise money throughout the afternoon.

Fundraising will support Maria and the Pink Ladies cancer awareness work

Money raised at the event will support Maria and the Pink Ladies, a volunteer-run organisation well known across the Costa Blanca for its cancer awareness work.

The group helps women and men arrange early detection tests for several types of cancer in Spain, while encouraging people to get checked rather than wait until symptoms appear.

Over the years, its volunteers have helped thousands of people access screening and have become familiar faces at community events and fundraisers throughout the area.

Events such as Friday’s fashion show provide an opportunity to raise funds while also keeping the organisation’s cancer awareness message visible within the local community.
