The most expensive address in Spain is found in Mallorca, new ranking reveals

Mallorca has once again underlined its status as one of Europe’s luxury property hotspots, with a new study revealing the island is home to Spain’s most expensive street for buying a property.

The latest ranking from property portal Idealista puts three Mallorca addresses among Spain’s 10 most expensive streets, with average asking prices reaching an extraordinary €15 million.

Andratx takes the top spot

The biggest headline comes from Camí des Salinar in Andratx, which has been named the most expensive street in Spain.

According to Idealista’s study, published on August 20, properties advertised on the street have an average asking price of €15 million.

That puts the exclusive Andratx address comfortably ahead of the second most expensive location in Spain, Paseo de los Lagos in Madrid’s La Finca development, where homes average €11 million.

The result highlights the extraordinary prices being achieved in some of Mallorca’s most exclusive corners, particularly around the southwest of the island.

Palma has two streets in the top six

Mallorca’s dominance does not end with Andratx.

Two streets in Palma also feature prominently in Idealista’s national ranking.

Carrer Mossa takes fourth place, with homes advertised at an average of €9.8 million.

It is followed in sixth place by Carrer Binicaubell, where the average asking price reaches €7.9 million.

That means Mallorca accounts for three of the six most expensive individual addresses in Spain, according to the new Idealista analysis.

What about other expensive parts of Mallorca?

The Idealista study focuses specifically on individual streets with a sufficient number of property listings, so it does not provide a complete ranking of every expensive town or neighbourhood on the island.

However, other parts of Mallorca are also firmly established as premium property markets.

Idealista’s latest figures show Port d’Andratx averaging around €10,625 per square metre, while Andratx as a whole stood at €8,771 per square metre in July.

In Palma, Son Vida recorded an average of €8,537 per square metre in July, making it the city’s most expensive area.

Meanwhile, exclusive areas around Calvià, including Portals Nous, Bendinat, Cas Català and Illetes, continue to attract wealthy international buyers.

Mallorca firmly in Spain’s luxury league

The latest figures make clear that Mallorca is not simply home to some expensive properties. It is now dominating the very top end of Spain’s housing market.

Idealista’s methodology looked at the average absolute price of different types of homes advertised on the same street, including apartments, penthouses and villas. Streets needed to have a relevant minimum number of listings to be included.

The company stresses that the figures represent average asking prices, rather than the price of the single most expensive property available.

Even so, an average of €15 million for one Andratx street puts Mallorca firmly at the top of Spain’s luxury property market.
