Leather jackets, roaring engines and a soft spot for the underdog are coming together in Marbella this weekend, as Hells Angels MC Marbella mark eight years on the Costa del Sol with a bash dedicated entirely to abandoned dogs.

An anniversary ride for a terrific cause

On Saturday, September 12 Hells Angels Club Marbella celebrate the milestone at Angels Place, located above Playa Padre at Playa del Cable in Marbella, with Support 81 the group’s official support crew. Rather than keeping the celebrations to themselves, members have chosen to hand the entire day over to a cause close to their hearts: helping the rescue dogs of the Costa del Sol.

Doors open at 2pm and festivities are expected to run late into the evening, giving locals, tourists and animal lovers of every kind plenty of time to drop by, enjoy the atmosphere and support the shelter dogs waiting for a second chance.

Every euro goes straight to Triple A

Money raised across the day will go to Triple A, the Marbella-based animal shelter that has cared for abandoned and abused cats and dogs since 1992. Run largely by volunteers, Triple A currently looks after more than 500 animals from the Marbella and San Pedro area and relies heavily on donations to keep its doors open, with running costs reportedly exceeding €50,000 a month.

Organisers have been clear that not one cent will be diverted elsewhere. Funds collected on the day are earmarked purely for the shelter, giving real dogs behind real fences a genuine shot at finding a loving home.

Barbecue, live music and a raffle worth queuing for

Guests can relax and enjoy a full day of entertainment built around the fundraising effort. A barbecue and drinks will keep everyone fuelled, live music promises to keep spirits high, and a charity raffle offers the chance to win prizes while lending a hand to the shelter. Donation points will also be dotted around the venue for anyone wishing to give a little extra.

Judged by appearances, defined by kindness

Despite the tough exterior that often precedes them, club members have built a reputation locally for showing up unconditionally for the animals. Under the banner “One Club. One Family. One Cause,” attendees are being encouraged to support the voiceless by turning up, donating generously and spending the day among friends, family and fellow animal lovers.

Anyone hoping to attend need only head to Angels Place at Playa del Cable, Marbella, from 2pm on Saturday, September 12, with every euro raised destined for Triple A Animal Shelter.
