Runners and walkers will take to the streets of Los Montesinos on Sunday, November 22, for a sporting event carrying an important message. The municipality’s 15th 5K, 10K and Solidarity Walk will combine races for different abilities with a campaign against gender-based violence, while children’s events and the traditional giant tortilla will add to the community atmosphere.

Runners can choose 5K or 10K

Starting at 10:00 AM, the event will offer a 5km race over one circuit, a 10km race covering two laps and a 5km solidarity walk for those who prefer to take part at a gentler pace.

Free children’s races will follow the 10km event, giving younger participants the chance to join the day’s activities.

The start and finish line will be in Plaza del Ayuntamiento on Avenida de la Marquesa, placing the centre of Los Montesinos at the heart of the event.

Registration costs €13 with places limited

Registration for the 5K, 10K and solidarity walk costs €13, with places limited.

Participants will receive a technical T-shirt and Caja Rural backpack, with refreshments available after finishing.

One of the event’s more unusual traditions will also return, with a giant tortilla prepared for participants after the races.

The combination of competitive races, the solidarity walk and children’s events means people of different ages and fitness levels will be able to get involved during the morning.

Race highlights opposition to violence against women

Organised by Los Montesinos Council’s Sports Department, the event is the municipality’s fourth athletics meeting of 2026.

This edition once again carries the message Contra las Violencias Machistas, using the gathering to raise awareness and show opposition to violence against women.

Sports councillor Ana Belen Juarez encouraged residents and runners from surrounding municipalities to take part.

Registration now open for November event

Registration is now open, with limited race numbers available through asuspuestas.com.

The 15th edition begins at 10:00 AM on Sunday, November 22, with the races, solidarity walk and children’s activities providing a morning of community sport while reinforcing the event’s message against gender-based violence.
