A fun-filled Christmas shopping trip to Benidorm is offering residents of the Mazarron and Camposol areas the chance to enjoy a festive day out while supporting a local animal shelter. Organised as a fundraiser for Andrea’s Animal Rescue and The Henrietta Foundation, the coach trip will take place on Sunday, November 29, with tickets costing €22 per person.
A festive day out in Benidorm
Following the success of previous outings to Benidorm, Andrea’s Animal Rescue is encouraging people to book early, with few tickets remaining. The trip will provide an opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done, enjoy Benidorm’s attractions, socialise with other animal lovers and community members, and most importantly, help raise much-needed funds for the adorable donkeys on the farm.
Shopping, sightseeing and socialising
Passengers will have the day free to explore Benidorm at their own pace. Options include browsing the shops for Christmas presents, discovering the Old Town, enjoying a walk along Levante Beach or stopping for a leisurely lunch at one of the resort’s many bars and restaurants. Those who prefer a more relaxed day can simply enjoy the atmosphere, take in the sights, and socialise with each other before the return journey.
The coach will depart from Puerto de Mazarron Bus Station at 8:00am, with a second pick-up at the Camposol B Sector car park at 8:30am. The return journey will leave Benidorm at 6:00pm.
Helping vital local charities
As well as providing an enjoyable day out, the trip will support the work of Andrea’s Animal Rescue and The Henrietta Foundation.
Founded in August of 2008, Andrea’s Animal Rescue was founded primarily to care for abused donkeys, with the first donkey, Henrietta, arriving at the idyllic Mazarron farm. Since then, the charity has grown into a thriving part of the community, with more than 100 donkeys and other animals under their care, being taken care of and treated properly by true animal lovers. The charity’s website is constantly giving updates on their latest rescues, the animals sponsored by donors, and information on upcoming drives, collections, and ways to help.
Fundraising outings such as these play an important role in helping both organisations care for the animals they look after. Organisers have thanked everyone who has supported previous trips and encouraged residents to bring friends and family along to help fill the coach.
How to register for the Benidorm day trip
Tickets cost €22 per person, including return coach transport. Anyone wishing to reserve a seat can contact Andrea via T. 690 90 65 65 or Mandy via T. 604 12 90 24. With very few tickets left, those interested in helping the charities, getting some Christmas shopping done, or simply spending a wonderful day out with friends and neighbours are advised to book promptly to avoid missing out on this fun-filled Benidorm day trip.
