Green-fingered residents around San Fulgencio and La Marina could soon have a new place to grow their own fruit and vegetables, with plans for 40 community allotments at Paraje Tintorero, next to El Oasis. The project aims to bring local gardeners together in a shared outdoor space, with an early interest list already open for those hoping to secure a plot.

Forty community allotments planned near El Oasis

The project will offer 40 individual plots where gardeners can grow their own fruit and vegetables while enjoying a shared outdoor space and meeting others with the same interest.

Organisers say the allotments are aimed at everyone from experienced growers to complete beginners who fancy producing their own tomatoes, vegetables and other home-grown goodies in the Costa Blanca sunshine.

The proposed site at Paraje Tintorero, next to El Oasis, would give residents in San Fulgencio and La Marina another opportunity to enjoy gardening without needing a large outdoor space at home.

Monthly allotment fee includes water and facilities

Each plot is expected to cost around €45 per month, with water and facilities included.

Traditional irrigation water will be provided, while gardeners will also have access to shared storage for tools and equipment.

Plans include easy vehicle access, private secure parking inside the site and a communal area designed to create a friendly atmosphere between plot holders.

The shared facilities are intended to make the allotments practical for regular use while encouraging gardeners to get to know one another.

Community gardening welcomes beginners and experienced growers

The project is designed to appeal to people with different levels of gardening experience, whether they already grow their own produce or are looking to try it for the first time.

As well as providing space for fruit and vegetables, the allotments would offer an opportunity to spend time outdoors and meet other residents with a shared interest in gardening.

Early registration opens for forty plots

Only 40 plots are planned and an early interest list is now open, giving those who register priority choice before the official opening.

Anyone interested in securing an allotment is being encouraged to make contact while places remain available.
