GUARDIA CIVIL from El Ejido arrested two men charged with stealing from a local greenhouse. They were alerted of the robbery and quickly arrived on the scene, where two men were cutting the metal structure of the greenhouse. Despite their attempts to flee, the suspects were caught and a van was found which contained metal from the structures.
Meanwhile, in Dalias, another two people were arrested by Guardia Civil in similar circumstances. In this case, they had also taken the door off a shed on the property and were attempting to steal items from inside.
In Vicar, another man, aged 27, was arrested for robberies in greenhouses in La Mata area of La Mojonera. He also caused damaged to plants after stealing stakes used to prop them up, which he later sold for scrap metal.
