LIFEGUARDS rescued seven sub-Saharan men who were attempting to cross the Strait of Gibraltar in an inflatable toy boat. It was spotted by a merchant ship and a sea rescue boat and helicopter were sent out to rescue the immigrants who were found seven kilometres from Tarifa. They were taken to the local port and were all in good health although showing symptoms of hypothermia.
