EIGHT unemployed youths in Almeria have found work thanks to a course which has taught them to be film specialists and stuntmen. The course has been carried out thanks to financing of €21,000 from the Junta de Andalucia Employment Council.
The participants were given their diplomas at the ‘Fort Bravo’ Western Town by the Employment Delegate, Francisca Perez Laborda. Most of them had no experience in the profession in which they will now be given work.
Thanks to an agreement with Decorados Cinematograficos Almeria, six of them will be working for six months in preparing, setting up and carrying out Western shows for visitors. Perez Laborda congratulated the participants on the “attitude, active participation and high motivation which they have shown throughout the course” which lasted 420 hours.
