A MAN was slightly injured when a light aircraft crashed at the Axarquia aerodrome in Velez-Malaga last weekend.
The 77-year-old resident of Granada reportedly encountered problems with the aircraft controls causing him to lose control of the plan, which crashed to the ground after hitting some trees.
Police and paramedics attended the scene after they were called by staff at the Leoni Benabu aerodrome and the victim was taken to the Axarquia Regional Hospital. However, he appeared to have only sustained slight injuries to his arms and but tests were carried out to rule out other damage.
