AFTER 35 years in jail Spain’s longest-serving inmate, Miguel Montes Neiro, 61, was released last week.
He was first sent to prison in 1966, and since then, he had been given 26 further sentences, mainly for robbery.
He had also escaped 14 times, the most recent in 2009 when his mother died.
On several occasion, while on parole, he committed crimes for which he was sentenced again.
He revealed that he plans to live in Malaga.
