BRASIL’S President Dilma Rousseff is holidaying in Granada. She was spotted in a group of tourists at the Alhambra Palace.
Rousseff has admitted a “passion for Hispanic-Muslim art”.
She said she was “impressed” by the state of conservation of the monument and was particularly interested in the poetic inscriptions.
This visit to Granada marks a stark contrast to the 2010 visit by US First Lady Michelle Obama which caused a global media frenzy.
