The premiere of a new film for Mallorca, ‘Behind Blue Glass’ was at Mood Beach Bar and Restaurant in Costa D’en Blanes on Monday evening.
The documentary film which is about sharks and their history in and relationship to Mallorca, was very well supported including some of the local residents who appeared in the movie.
The film maker and producers, David Diley, Brad Robertson and Bea Esparza are now working on a conservation project with Joves Navegants to identify how big, or small, the stingray population is here in Mallorca.
‘We are looking for people to get involved with us and help on many different levels. We need volunteers who we will train to help us count the stingrays.
We are also looking for business sponsors who would like to support a vital project for the health of our island’s sea.
We need to care for and invest in the Mediterranean and keep it healthy: a lot of businesses here in Mallorca make their living out of the sea”. You can contact them at info@ondineescape.com
