MEMBERS of the members RBL Torre Del Mar who went on a trip to Merida report they had a great time.
They left with the weather looking a little uncertain but by the end of the break they were experiencing temperatures in the high 30s.
The group visited the Roman ruins in Merida, and during their stay went on a day trip to the Castle at Badajoz and the battlefield at La Albuera.
The following day took them to Caceres, reputed to be one of the most beautiful cities in Spain with a wealth of historic buildings, palaces and museums.
The break was rounded off by a visit to the Italica at Santiponce near Sevilla which has Roman mosaics and the remains of a large Roman Town.
