PHARMACIES are set to close today (Thursday) and tomorrow due to lack of payment by the Valencia Regional Government.
The pharmacies are owed payment of all prescriptions given by social security doctors for January, February, March and April of this year and no payment plan has been offered for pending or future bills.
The amount owed to the “2,200 pharmacies in the region reaches around €480million,” according to The Valencia Pharmaceutical College (MICOF) and the Valencia Pharmaceutical Business Association
