THE family of a 18-month-old boy with various health problems has received a donation of €22,000 to help pay for some of his treatments.
Guillermo was born with an underdeveloped brain that causes eye problems and with brain disorders that affect muscle coordination and leads to mental and psychiatric problems.
He needs a special treatment that will help him control his body movement without help and allow him to communicate with people.
The money was raised by various entities collecting 73.5 tonnes of plastic tops which were sold for recycling.
Alicante Town Hall, recycling company Acteco and the Seur Foundation gave the cheque to the boy’s father, Alberto Artola.
