Man commits suicide after shooting girlfriend

A MAN, 60, reportedly committed suicide after allegedly shooting his girlfriend in Guardamar del Segura.

The 49-year-old Spanish woman was taken to intensive care at Torrevieja Hospital to undergo surgery on the shot wounds in her arm and buttocks.

The incident took place at the couple’s home on Calle Molivent in Guardamar del Segura.

Initial investigations show that there have been no past reports of domestic violence.
