A 32-year-old man who was stabbed in an altercation with another man in a cafe in Fuengirola has been hospitalised.
The incident occurred at 9:30am when two men began fighting in a public cafe on Fuengirola’s Calle Marbella.
Neighbours then alerted 112 emergency services and police as to what was happening.
The presumed aggressor, a 31-year-old man from Sweden, suffered a minor injury to his hand and was taken into police custody.
The injured man was taken to the critical care unit at Hospital Costa del Sol in Marbella.
Hospital sources said he was expected to undergo surgery for abdominal injuries.
