A documentary by Alfasina Andrea Berenguer has been nominated for an Alimara Award.
These are conferred each year by CETT, the international training and research centre for tourism and hotel management.
It is attached to the University of Barcelona and the awards are organised in conjunction with Cataluña’s International Tourism Trade Show body.
Andrea Berenguer’s documentary entitled “25 años de Cine en l’Alfas” tells the story behind Alfaz del Pi’s film festival which has been held in the town each July since 1988.
Not only is the festival one of Alfaz’s principal cultural events, said Tourism councillor Paola Segura, but it is also one of its biggest tourist draws.
Nor will Andrea Berenguer have a long wait to learn if she has won an award, as the winners are due to be announced later today, Thursday April 3.
