Shakira wows with Barcelona beau

Pop star Shakira delivered a super performance of her song ‘Empire’ at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday.

The ‘Hips don’t lie’ singer wore a sequinned leotard for the raunchy performance, wowing the crowd with her dance moves, vocals and pyrotechnics.   

After her performance Colombian Shakira and her FC Barcelona football player partner Gerard Pique, 27, gave photographers something to snap.

The ‘She Wolf’ singer, 37, leapt at her beau, wrapping her legs around him and kissing him passionately in celebration of her stage success.

The ardent embrace would certainly have gone some way to help Pique forget that his Barcelona team were deposed as La Liga champions by Atletico Madrid on Saturday night.

Other performances included those given by newcomer Australian rockers 5 Seconds of Summer, pop princess Katy Perry and New Zealand songstress Lorde.

Pop singer Justin Timberlake scooped a staggering seven awards, including ‘Top Artist’ at the awards show.
