Axarquia Winter motorbike route 2015

MORE than 500 motorbikes will traverse the Axarquia in the fourth edition of the Winter Motorbike Route 2015.

Entitled ‘The Challenge’, the event has been organised by the Motorbike Club of Cadiz together with Malaga Provincial Council and will take place on February 21, 2015.

It is a challenge conceived with the goal of promoting motorbike tourism and is expected to attract more than 700 participants, who will boost the area’s economy with their purchases and hotel stays.

The challenge is not intended as a competition, but as a leisure route, which will only be unveiled on the day of the event. It will also have verification points along the way, which the contestants will have to locate with only the help of a road guide and paper maps.

In addition, the riders will carry a passport which will be stamped at the verification points, through 27 different municipalities, most of them in the Axarquia.
