SKATE PARK: youngster are already enjoying the new facilities
SANTA POLA has inaugurated its first skate park.
Over 200 people, many being the town’s younger population, gathered at the Els Xiprerets sports area as Mayor Miguel Zaragoza, accompanied by Councillors for Urbanism and Tourism, officially opened the facility.
The skate park has multi-purpose courts designed for young people to practice their skate boarding, and can be used by scooters, bikes or inline skates. It has been designed for optimum performance but to ensure it meets all accessibility and safety criteria.
The innovative project had a budget of over half a million euros, funded by the Tourism Competitiveness Plan, paid by the Central Government, the Generalitat Valencia and Santa Pola.
