TERRIBLE smells from the sewage plant no longer make life a misery for residents and visitors to the Las Chapas area of Marbella.
Acosol public water company has finished work to solve the long-standing problem caused by the La Vibora plant, a job that was neither quick nor cheap as it cost €8 million and took three years.
Work on the plant has also increased its capacity, allowing 81,000 cubic metres of waste produced by 320,000 inhabitants to be dealt with.
The plant produces 26,500 cubic metres of recycled water per day, which are used to water many of Marbella’s golf courses.
