INTENSIVE work is under way to clean up the image of Fuengirola.
The town has been divided into 25 sectors, and 50 workers from municipal employment schemes are taking on one sector at a time to remove chewing-gum, weeds, graffiti, rubbish and unauthorised posters.
Work began in the El Boquetillo area before moving on to Las Viñas, with the Calle Sevilla area next on the list.
Fuengirola residents are reminded that they can report incidents which require a street clean-up team on 900 202 050.
