Doghouse fundraiser in La Alfoquia

BAR CIELOS in La Alfoquia is holding a fundraising event on Sunday March 29 from 3pm until 8pm to raise funds for the Doghouse, which suffered terrible damage and animal deaths in recent storms.

A number of bands will be performing plus Olivia will be doing nails on the day for a donation to the Doghouse.

Local businesses have donated prizes including fish and chip dinners, breakfasts, Betterware products, wash and blow dries from salons, bottles of wine, gift vouchers, phone credit, chocolates and much more besides. More prizes are always welcomed.

There is also a free labour day planned, for people to head along to the Doghouse on April 12 and join the other volunteers to lend a hand to get the kennels up to scratch after the destruction caused by the storm.

Peter Walker is sorting out some free beer for the volunteers and, at time of press, confirmation is pending for a buffet to be made available by a local eatery. The more volunteers the better, so if you can spare an hour or more, it would really help.
