Los Angeles: bar and restaurant

LOS ANGELES restaurant is one of those restaurants where good news travels fast.

Extremely popular with expats in the area, this spacious and friendly venue is located on the Palomares to Villaricos road, 1.5 kilometres past the petrol station, on the right hand side as you approach Villaricos.

It is open every day except Monday evenings and has been open since 2009.

The menu at Los Angeles is varied and of great quality using fresh ingredients and prepared lovingly in the kitchen by Maria.

Violeta is front of house, ensuring the highest standards of customer service are consistently met.

You can enjoy a menu del dia including a drink during the day for €10 from Monday to Saturday 12.30 to 4pm and an evening menu del dia is also available from 7pm until 9pm including a drink for €12.50.

Of course if you don’t fancy the menu del dia options, you can order from the a la carte menu with such delights as steamed mussels, grilled swordfish, lamb chops and duck with plum sauce.

Paella is a house speciality with vegetarian, seafood and meat versions available.

There is a good selection of vegetarian dishes too such as the vegetable and cheese tartlet or penne pasta with spinach and blue cheese.

Love your meat? Then you must try the barbecue pork rack of ribs, a popular item on the menu and great for the h u n g r i e s t among you.

S u n d a y lunches are available but these are extremely popular so we advise that you book in advance.

Roast beef, roast lamb are the core offerings but there are also fish and vegetarian options available.

There are three courses for the superb price of €12.50 per person.

Let’s not forget Friday fish and chips where you can enjoy a hearty meal at lunchtime or in the evening for just €7.50.

The offering is completed with a variety of local performers regularly appearing in the venue.

On April 10 there is Lady Ellen, Brandon O’Dee appears on April 24 and Chris Bottle will be there with his guitar on May 8.
