MALAGA Local Police force’s nature protection branch (Grupona) reported 599 people in 2014 for failing to meet regulations regarding so-called dangerous dog breeds.
Of the total, 198 reports were for failing to ensure the animals wore muzzles in public, 149 for not holding correct licences, 95 for not having the dogs on leads, 32 for allowing them to run loose, 14 for not carrying licences and nine for walking more than one at once.
Another 346 reports were made by Local Police officers involving dogs including 109 for walking dogs without a lead and 133 for allowing pets to disturb other citizens.
