THIS will be the last year circus animals and fairground pony attractions will be seen in Ronda.The council and opposition unanimously approved a motion put forward by local RAU animal protection association to ban both from the town, as Malaga City did in January.Association representatives expressed their delight at the decision, and explained that they had also proposed a sterilisation project for stray cats and an animal refuge be created in the future.Local Mayor Maria de la Paz Fernandez declared that the bylaws would be modified at the end of this year, meaning the ban will be in effect for 2016.
