Referee threatened as match is cancelled

A FOOTBALL match between CD Union Manilva and UD Villanueva Rosario had to be suspended after a player threatened and almost attacked a referee.
The referee for the Andalucian Senior League second division later said: “They grabbed my pen and tried to use it to stab me in the side.”
A report from the Referees’ Union stated that a player flew into a rage after being shown a red card.
After cancelling the match, the referee also reported that spectators invaded the changing rooms and threatened him.
