THE COSTA del Sol is likely to benefit from a new agreement allowing tourists from the United Arab Emirates to travel to EU countries without applying for visas.Following the agreement, which will be temporarily applied until ratified by both sides, UAE citizens will not need a visa for short stays (up to 90 days within six month periods), allowing them to travel freely in EU Schengen countries.Malaga Province, and in particular the triangle formed by Marbella, Estepona and Benahavis, looks to benefit from the agreement as the Costa is the third favourite destination for the high-spending, luxury seeking visitors, beaten only by Madrid and Barcelona.
