A TOTAL of 29.2 per cent of Balearic residents cannot afford to save money every month, says a report.The study was carried out by online site Rasteatro.com and analysed Spanish citizens’ capacity for saving.The report shows a 13.7 per cent increase in the number of Balearic residents who are able to save, compared to the data registered in 2014, reaching a total percentage of 70.8 per cent, while the national average has grown by 1.1 per cent.“Balearic citizens’ perception of their financial situation is more positive,” said a representative from Rasteatro.com.A total of 19.1 per cent of residents’ income is saved, while 93.8 per cent of them say that they compare prices before buying, according to this report, which shows a profile of a critical customer who requests transparency and information to identify the best offers.
