29% of Balearic residents too poor to save, although situation improving

A TOTAL of 29.2 per cent of Balearic residents cannot afford to save money every month, says a report.
The study was carried out by online site Rasteatro.com and analysed Spanish citizens’ capacity for saving.
The report shows a 13.7 per cent increase in the number of Balearic residents who are able to save, compared to the data registered in 2014, reaching a total percentage of 70.8 per cent, while the national average has grown by 1.1 per cent.
“Balearic citizens’ perception of their financial situation is more positive,” said a representative from Rasteatro.com.
A total of 19.1 per cent of residents’ income is saved, while 93.8 per cent of them say that they compare prices before buying, according to this report, which shows a profile of a critical customer who requests transparency and information to identify the best offers.
