THE Tax Collection Department (PRP) of Malaga’s Provincial Council has acquired a new office in Velez-Malaga to improve the service provided to all taxpayers.This new branch, which had a total cost of €635,000, is twice as big as the former office and it is expected to serve 100,000 residents across 15 Axarquia towns.Head of the PRP, Jose Alberto Armijo and the mayor of Velez-Malaga explained that the new office was located in Calle Mercader and was expected to become operational by the end of the year, after having been put out to tender and renovated.The new facilities are expected to employ 18 members of staff.Locals will be able to make payments such as vehicle tax, the Catastro, traffic fines or waste collection taxes in person in the new office or online through the website www.prpmalaga.es.
