Casares is a charming village, marked by the characteristic colour of its whitewashed walls and which was the the birthplace of the father of Andalucian nationalism, Blas Infante, the region’s most important historic figure.

The ‘Pueblo Blanco’ (white town) is one of the municipalities in the province of Malaga that year after year is recognised as one of the most beautiful in the country. And, in addition to its beauty, it is a place where it is possible to find houses and apartments at a reasonable price.

A search through both Resales Online and Idealista shows a total of 891 properties for sale. And although not all of them are within the reach of all potential buyers, there are properties that are more than appealing including an apartment with two bedrooms for just €89,000 and a three-bed townhouse for €106,000.

But be quick as prices are on the rise. In March 2024 residential property for sale had an average price of over €3,000 per square metre, an increase of nearly 20 per cent compared to 2023.

Casares offers a high quality of life and a beautiful setting for those looking to settle down or enjoy an unforgettable holiday. It is surrounded by world class golf courses, there are schools, supermarket, pharmacy as well as numerous bars and restaurants. And, it is only a 20 minute drive to the beach and all the towns of the Costa del Sol.
