Campaign van driver shot with pellet gun

THE driver of a Partido Popular campaign van has been shot in the side with a pellet gun in San Roque, the political party has reported.
After receiving treatment at the local health centre, the driver was taken to the Guardia Civil barracks to make a report and stated that pellets were fired at the van while driving through the area near the municipal market.
While the socialist local mayor expressed his disgust on Facebook, PP candidate for the town in the upcoming local elections Marina Garcia commented: “We’re in a democratic country, this sort of behaviour is unacceptable.”
