Crevillent Meningitis death is ‘isolated case’

A CREVILLENT man has died of Meningitis. The 50-year-old Chinese national passed away after being admitted to the Hospital de la Vinalopo in a serious condition.
The hospital stressed it was an isolated case but following concern in the town the mayor of Crevillent offered reassurance to the public saying it was being controlled by the health authorities and the appropriate preventive antibiotic treatment was being given to those in close contact with the man, such as local police who attended the scene and the man’s work colleagues.
