ANTEQUERA council has launched a campaign to promote its dolmens (large megalithic tombs) and support their application to become a Unesco World Heritage site.People are invited to have their photos taken making the sign language sign for the word dolmen in front of campaign panels placed about town and post them on social media with the #Patrimoniomundial tag.Local mayor Manuel Baron encouraged everyone in the area to take part in the campaign, stating: “the dolmens is the only Spanish site with an application this year. We can’t miss this opportunity, if Antequera has a World Heritage site it will change our future culture and tourism-wise.”
