LA HERRADURA’S Centro Civico hosted a round table event on ‘Journalism and Democracy in Spain’ on Wednesday (August 5).
Talks were given by university professors and well-known Spanish journalists. Organiser Alternativas Economicas magazine said it intended to hold its annual event on the Costa Tropical every year, concentrating on topics of interest to summer visitors and local residents.
Last year the debate was on new forms of tourism and included talks by Motril’s Chamber of Commerce leader Angel Gijon and economist and former leader of Banco Hipotecario and Caja Granada Julio Rodriguez Lopez.
