THE ‘Alta Tension en Llucmajor’ group is continuing to carry out activities to stop high-tension cables from being installed in the town.
They were accompanied by the local mayor, Jaume Thomas, to meet with the Director General for Industry and Climate Change, Joan Groizard, to discuss how to put a stop to projects which they consider are “much larger than required for the needs of the islanders.”
The Spanish Electric Network plans to change the capacity from 66 to 132kV which requires higher towers.
