200 kilos of hashish seized in Marbella marina

A MAN, 29, has been remanded in prison for carrying 212 kilos of hashish in his vehicle.

He was arrested at the marina in Marbella by Guardia Civil, having allegedly got the drugs from a 10-metre-long yacht, which was moored in the port. Officers suspected it was being used for drug trafficking and two people were seen carrying an object to the car from the yacht.

When the car was heading out of the port, it was intercepted and 12 packages worth €346,521 were seized. A sniffer dog detected hashish residue in the yacht, although no more packages were found.
