Woman rescued in Motril

LOCAL police in Motril rescued a woman who was threatening to throw herself from the balcony of her home.

Authorities were alerted at around 4pm by several witnesses to a fight between two members of the same family in a property in La Posta district. They reported she had used a chair to climb out to the balcony’s balustrade and had expressed her intention to throw herself out.

While the police attempted to convince the woman to refrain from throwing herself, other officers accessed the balcony of a nearby home. From there, they were able to approach the woman and convince her to come inside the second property where she was assisted by medical services.
